Summer Bucket List

Summer Bucket List

Can you believe that tomorrow is the last day of MAY? I know that summer doesn't officially start until June 21st, but somehow flipping the calendar from May to June seems like it's really here. School is winding down, the days are longer, and the season just seems to invite us to sit awhile and savor the sweet moments of summer. Even when we're not tied to a school calendar anymore, when our work and life rhythms don't revolve around that September to June life as they once did, there is just something different about these next few special months.

I had a conversation recently with a friend about how sometimes I don't actually want summer to arrive, that I want to live in a perpetual May; May is just such a wonderful season of anticipation of the freedom, the joy, and the slowness of summer, and once the season actually arrives it seems to be gone so quickly. Lazy, unplanned days are wonderful, to be sure, but there's also something magical about planning for summer, to fit in some of the special activities that can only happen during this time of year. This summer I'm trying to balance the unplanned (not my forte) but also make sure we get to experience all of the joy summer has to offer. I'm pulling out the calendar, writing (in pencil) some dates, and booking some days off. I hope you do too, and you can use this summer bucket list as a place to start if you need some ideas!

I'm hoping to check off all 47 of these activities before the end of September, but here are a few highlights that I'm planning for:

Here is a link to the downloadable and printable version of this list. Hang it somewhere you'll see it and start making plans! Please let me know what you're most excited to do - or what I missed on my summer bucket list!

PS - Last chance to snag the Refresh Collection at a great discount before they go away until 2024! Still a handful of candles left in most scents - they disappear at midnight on May 31st or whenever they're gone, so don't delay!
