Spring is here! We made it through the l-o-n-g winter and we're here on the other side - warm sunshine, longer days, and looser schedules are on their way and I am here for it!
Sometimes I am guilty of speeding ahead to the NEXT great season - summer - and failing to enjoy the beauty of spring. But it's such a wonderful time, a reminder of new beginnings and a chance to take stock of how we want to spend our time. Though winter offers cozy gatherings and opportunities to linger over hearty meals with loved ones, spring is a chance to move those gatherings outdoors, to peel ourselves away from some of what we've been distracted by, and look up - to see the beauty of the earth renewing itself, and to see the beauty in the faces of those around us. I, for one, want to take more time to LOOK UP this spring.
Sometimes I struggle to know what to do with the time to make it meaningful but I don't want to waste it, either.
